His online community was forced to disband, with many of its members also fleeing.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>As Chinese author Yu Hua once said, &#8220;The internet is a reflection of society, and when society is controlled, so too are people&#8217;s thoughts.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In the face of such challenges, it&#8217;s no wonder that digital refugees like these individuals have become increasingly common.
